What you need to know...

A luxurious 16th century chateau set against the backdrop of 13th century castle ruins, Chateau de Fere is a romantic retreat surrounded by 175 acres of wooded parkland with spectacular views over the Champagne region. (The castle is about 50 minutes from the famous Champagne vineyards in Reims.)

Comfort, seclusion and superb cuisine with a touch of luxury and an unforgettable immersion into history are assured. Each room presents with charming décor, ornate chandeliers, exquisite antiques, stylish furnishings, crystal and silverware.

Accommodation here comprises 19 rooms and 6 suites, luxurious and spacious with ultra-modern facilities artfully placed to preserve the period character.

The views from the rooms are stunning (one view of the castle, the other of fields where hot air balloons take off in the morning...just outside your window! If you’re interested in hot air balloons, book a ride with the hotel....with the view of the castle and the Champagne vineyards, it is well worth it.).

Enjoy a pre-dinner champagne cocktail on the terrace before going through to the elegant gourmet restaurant offering a selection of 20,000 bottles of wine from the chateau` s cellar. After dinner, take a stroll to the old castle ruins, which are majestic when illuminated. In the morning, wake to a round of golf, a game of tennis, an invigorating swim in the pool or a walk / jog to explore the beautiful surroundings.
