Best Western Flanders Lodge, just outside Ypres is a modern log cabin-style hotel in verdant surroundings. It is easily and quickly accessible via the motorway, situated a mile or so from the town centre and just 2 miles from the fun park Bellewaerde. It is located in the heart of the historic World War I Ypres Salient, 1 mile from the Menin Gate memorial, and one hour away from the Somme battlefields. Guided tours are available. Other historic places of interest like Bruges and Doornik are less than one hour away. Unwind in one of the simple, elegant and comfortable non smoking guest rooms, each well equipped with modern facilities including a spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower and coffee/tea maker. French cuisine and a choice of alternatives are served in the winter garden restaurant with a cosy fireplace, a cosy bar and terrace that offer a warm ambience for a chat and a drink. There is also a coffee shop for refreshments or snacks.
