The palatial 3* Hotel Hermitage is located in the heart of the historic city of Montreuil sur Mer, in the walls of the historical hospital erected in 1200. The building was restored under Napoleon III and entirely restored in 2002 yet still retains all its original charm. Victor Hugo was inspired to write "Les Miserables" whilst staying in this pretty town with its cobbled streets and ramparts which offer superb views of the surrounding countryside. This plush residence, full of charm, will appeal to lovers of history and shopping alike. It features 57 beautiful suites and rooms on 3 floors and the restaurant 'Le Jeroboam' (closed Sundays & Mondays) offers a varied menu. For your buffet breakfast, the lounge “Vivaldi” opens its doors with a generous hot cooked breakfast or cold continental including toast, tea, coffee and fruit juice. From 5pm the lounge bar with a convivial and posh atmosphere offers a large selection of cocktails, brandies and beers .The new spa centre opens its doors for your relaxation, offering spa-jet, body and face care and more besides.
