What you need to know...

The luxury 3*Hotel Gravensteen is ideally located in the centre of historic Ghent, listed as one of Europe’s most beautiful historic cities, just a few steps from the Castle of the Counts and other leading attractions. You enter this charming mansion, built in 1865, through the old carriageway made up of decorative pillars and an inspiring wall alcove occupied by a marble statue, which sets the character for what you find inside. It has now been completely renovated, although the old style is still present to give the hotel a special historical touch. The 49 attractive and comfortable en-suite rooms are well equipped – those to the front look out on the castle and moat, while those to the rear have city views. There's a top-floor lookout with windows offering spectacular views of the city. The hotel has a restaurant, coffee shop, and an inviting bar where you can relax after a full day’s sight-seeing.
