Concealed amongst the trees in the midst of a park, situated in a romantic and historic setting lies hotel restaurant Kasteelhof 't hooghe, built in an English cottage style. Just 3 km from the centre of Ypres and away from the noisy town-life, it is an ideal place from which to visit the region. Its a perfect location for a day trip by car to discover a number of important World War I sites and other regional highlights on the “In Flanders Fields Route” that starts at Ypres. Also in Ypres there are lots of lovely restaurants, cafes, bars, museums and chocolate shops. Guestrooms here are well equipped with modern comforts and the rooms on the first floor have their own terrace and each rooms enjoys views onto the garden. The stylish and cordial restaurant offers traditional cuisine, after which you can retire to the salon to sit by the fire with a glass of brandy or perhaps sample a fine Belgian beer at the bar.
